An assessment for nutrition risk includes height and weight measurements as well as blood work.

Do all retailers accept WIC as payment?

No. Retailers must be authorized as WIC vendors by their state. An open enrollment period takes place each year for WIC vendors. Authorized WIC vendors must maintain certain items in inventory and meet other requirements in order to participate in the program.

What foods are eligible for purchase using WIC benefits?
